The Yin - Yang Polarity

It is important to understand the winds, the tides, the currents, the seasons, and the principles of growth and decay. Western humans beings because of their conditioning do not understand their place in the larger scheme of the universe, in some instances believe themselves to be "the universe" rather then the spect of matter that they truly are within the larger picture. To the degree that we find ourselves removed from the natural world and its cycles, we will equally find ourselves experiencing disharmony in our enviroments and with in our physical bodies and minds. The more knowledge and understanding we aquire regarding the cosmic laws, the more we master ourselves and our place within the entire system which we presently find ourselves in. Western man has a difficulty grasping the yin / yang principle, do to the the linear view rather then cyclic view of time and space. With the mind set that the paired opposits which exist together (pleasure / pain, wealth / poverty, health / sickness, good / evil) are in existance to choose the deemed "good" point of the pairing, or at least over come the "bad" point of the pairing. We are interfering with a set of relationships which we do not fulling understand, and creating havac along the way. As we all exist with in the whole, the Western outlook that the universe is different and seperate from ourselves created an attitude of wanting to subjugate everything external. The flow of our lives and the flow of ourselves into the stream of the rest of the universal energies is in a distressed state of being.
